David M. Schmidt began his career in real estate in the 1970's following graduation from the University of Nebraska College of Business Administration. His initial involvements were with a brokerage and appraisal business, including owning and managing an appraisal company and a real estate brokerage franchise office for Century 21.
In 1985 he co-founded Concorde Management & Development, Inc.
in order to manage and develop the real estate investments owned by himself and his partners. Since that time, the Lincoln-based company has expanded its reach to include fee management for other owners and investors. Through David's leadership, Concorde has become a company known for its integrity and dedication to excellence.
David believes it is important to be involved in community activities as well as in industry organizations in order to better serve clients and tenants. He is active with the Great Plains Trail Network in local fundraising efforts for city trails and has served on many Boards of Directors for various entities over the years.
David is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Omaha Board of Realtors, the Lincoln Realtors Assn, and the Institute of Real Estate Management-Chapter 12 (IREM). He obtained the designation of Certified Property Manager through his affiliation with IREM.
Throughout his career, David has proven to be a key player in all phases of real estate to include: sales, valuation, development, investing, property management, and construction management.
Jamison Whiston joined the Concorde team in 2006 after building a commercial real estate background in finance with a boutique commercial mortgage banking firm, affiliated with Casto Development, in Central Ohio, representing life companies, securitized lenders and agencies (FNMA/Freddie Mac). Concentrating on permanent non-recourse financing of all property types and sizes ($500k - $40M) he was involved in all aspects of commercial lending; including production, investment analysis, servicing and closing. In addition, he brings with him a large network of national contacts & relationships within the real estate and mortgage banking industry.
Jamison’s primary responsibility includes overseeing the operations of the commercial brokerage, both, investment sales and leasing, as well as handling acquisition, disposition and finance activities for Concorde and its affiliates. His unique background gives him the opportunity to assist clients with respect to investment sales and analysis, leasing, financing and property management.
He is active within many commercial real estate organizations including; CCIM, ICSC, NAR and the Lincoln Board of Realtors serving recently as the 2007-2008 Chairperson for the Commercial Brokers committee. He has also been involved in the Mortgage Bankers Association, holds a Nebraska real estate license and currently attends multiple real estate conferences each year expanding his knowledge of the industry. In his short time back in Lincoln he has served on the finance committee for the YWCA, attends Chamber events and contributed his time to many other non-profit organizations.
Richard K. Young joined the Concorde brokerage team following a 42-year career with a premier Lincoln/Omaha advertising agency, a career that saw him rise through the ranks from UN-L student intern to CEO.
Retiring in 2004, Dick earned his real estate license and is having fun in his new career with Concorde. Over the years, Dick was manager and part owner and of the ad agency's real estate as well as investor in other properties. He knows the brokerage business from both sides.
He likes to mesh buyers with sellers and is constantly on the lookout for solutions to meet the unique needs of his clients. He calls it 'marketing,' and he's been in the business for more than 40 years, receiving numerous personal and professional accolades along the way.
